The flagship
A city-wide build weekend in Pune: teams from every college and company, mentors on the floor, and a public demo at the end.
Hackathons · HackWithPune
Online and offline build sprints that end with working products, not slide decks: city-wide flagships, campus rounds and themed challenges.
The measure of a hackathon is not attendance. It is how many projects still exist six weeks later. Every format we run is designed backwards from that.
That means themes with real users behind them, mentors on the floor instead of on a panel, judging on a running demo and the quality of the code, and a plan for what happens after the weekend.
A city-wide build weekend in Pune: teams from every college and company, mentors on the floor, and a public demo at the end.
Shorter themed sprints open to builders anywhere in the city, judged on working demos and code quality.
Qualifier-style events hosted with partner colleges, feeding the best teams into the flagship.
Company- or community-set problems on a real dataset or product, with a clear brief and a clear reviewer.
Themes and constraints are published ahead of time so teams arrive with context, not just caffeine.
Form teams across campuses and disciplines. Designers and developers are matched, not left to chance.
Mentor check-ins at fixed intervals. Repos are public from the first commit.
Every team shows a running product to the room. Judges read the code as well as watching the pitch.
Repos, a channel and a follow-up meetup keep projects alive, and the strongest move into open-source or incubation tracks.
Beginners are welcome. Pair with a mentor or an experienced teammate and ship something small.
Take on harder themes, mentor a team, or judge. The bar for the work stays high.
Set a challenge, meet builders through what they make, and follow the strongest projects afterwards.
